When I was elected to the Erie County Legislature, people told me it didn't matter because "county legislators don't get anything done." Since then, I have made it my mission to prove otherwise.
When billions of microbeads were polluting Lake Erie, I pushed for a microbead ban in Erie County. Not only did it pass, but it sparked a federal ban to protect America's water supply. Since then my office has continued to advocate for water quality in our region as well as other issues that impact the lives of constituents. I have stood up to Time Warner by pushing for the Erie County Broadband Network, ensured the pharmaceutical industry pay its fair share and keep our drinking water free of medical waste, and implemented a Youth Concussion Protocol to keep kids safe on and off the field.
I am committed to working for the middle class families of Western New York by keeping our children safe, our environment secure, and our economy working for all not just a select few.
